Real Possibilities, Indeterminism and Free Will
University of Konstanz, 78464 Konstanz The conference “Real Possibilities, Indeterminism and Free Will” will take place at the University of Konstanz, Germany on 18-21 March 2015. The conference will mark the final phases of two ongoing projects at the University of Konstanz: What is really possible? Philosophical explorations in branching-history based real modality and Indeterminism Ltd. An intervention on the free will debate The first project centers on formal and metaphysical aspects of real possibilities for the future. The second project centers on the role that the open future can play for understanding agency in our indeterministic world. The goal of this conference is to provide a forum for discussing those two lines of research and their intersection. |
